Shane Battier is intent on retiring after this season, apparently regardless of the Heat's postseason fortune. He didn't mince words Friday when asked about his future plans.
"It would take an act of God to change it, and that act of God hasn't come," Battier told news reporters.
Battier joined the Heat in 2011, after their ill-fated trip to the 2011 Finals. He since has been an instrumental part in the past two championships, hitting cluch three-pointers and defending opposing wings.
