Two days since his last update on the ailing Kawhi Leonard, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said there has been no significant improvement in the viral eye infection that threatens to sideline the reigning Finals MVP for next Tuesday’s season opener.
“It persists,” Popovich said in the hours before Wednesday’s exhibition game against Atlanta. “His eyes are still red; one is half-closed. It looks ugly.”
