Kobe Bryant scored 28 points and the Lakers held on for just their second win, beating the Atlanta Hawks 114-109 on Tuesday night.
The Hawks had a chance to force overtime after the Lakers (2-9) failed to put it away at the line. But Los Angeles smothered long-range threat Kyle Korver, leaving Pero Antic to take an open 3-pointer. It clanked off the rim and the Lakers gobbled up the loose ball to seal the victory.
Paul Millsap led Atlanta with 29 points.

Knicks 113 Bucks 117
Ersan Ilyasova had 20 points, and Milwaukee climbed above .500 for the first time in more than a year by fending off the New York Knicks.
Zaza Pachulia added season highs of 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Bucks, who improved to 6-5 on the season after nearly blowing a 26-point lead.
Carmelo Anthony finished with 26 points, while Tim Hardaway Jr. had 24 for the Knicks.

Ryan Anderson scored 15 of his 22 points in the second half, and Anthony Davis had 28 points and nine rebounds to help the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Sacramento Kings.
Anderson missed on 6 of 7 3s in the first half, but made three 3-pointers in the third quarter when New Orleans outscored the Kings 31-15 and never trailed again to snap a three-game losing streak against Sacramento.
DeMarcus Cousins had 24 points and 17 rebounds and Rudy Gay scored 15 for Sacramento, which dropped to 3-2 at home.

Alec Burks had 20 points and a career-high 14 rebounds to lead the Utah Jazz to a 98-81 win over the reeling Thunder.
Enes Kanter added 16 points and a season-high 15 boards for the Jazz, who enjoyed a 55-44 edge on the glass.
Jeremy Lamb scored 19 for the Thunder, who led by as many as 17 in the first half but has now lost three straight and seven of nine.
