Knicks' Early to have knee surgery, miss one month

Knicks rookie Cleanthony Early will have arthroscopic surgery to remove a loose fragment from his right knee in a big blow to his development this season.

The injury was diagnosed following an MRI exam, but Derek Fisher said the Bronx native did mention discomfort during training camp.

Early will be reevaluated in one month to determine the timetable for his return, the team announced.
