Knicks' Calderon makes debut against 76ers

Knicks point guard Jose Calderon looked rusty at times in his long-awaited debut, but altogether executed his assignment in helping the Knicks to stave off the ignominy of giving the Sixers their first win of the season.

It was Carmelo Anthony, who smiled widest afterward when asked what Calderon facilitated for the Knicks in a 91-83 victory at the Garden Saturday night.

“I love it. I love it, man,” said Anthony, who led the Knicks with 25 points. “I don’t think there’s anything like playing with great PGs.”

Calderon, who was acquired in a trade with Dallas during the offseason, had sat out the first three weeks with a calf injury.
