The Sacramento Kings waived shooting guard Wayne Ellington on Sunday, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
Ellington, acquired from the New York Knicks earlier this month, had one year and $2.8 million left on his contract, and it's safe to assume the Kings will use the stretch provision on him.
