Kings' Collison has surgery, out 6 weeks

The Sacramento Kings announced today that guard Darren Collison underwent successful surgery to repair a core muscle injury.

Collison will begin rehabilitation immediately and is expected to be out for approximately six weeks.

The 6-0 guard is averaging 16.1 points (.473 FG%, .373 3pt%, .788 FT%), 3.2 rebounds, a team-high 5.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 34.8 minutes per game in starting all 45 games he has played in this season for the Kings.
