Detroit Pistons current president of basketball operations Joe Dumars has agreed to stay with the team in a non-basketball operations role.
The Pistons have not made any announcement but sources said Dumars has agreed to an advisory role within the organization.
The agreement could be announced as soon as Monday and was reached after the team made it clear it had no intention of extending Dumars' contract as president, which expires this summer.
