Charlotte Hornets General Manager Rich Cho announced today that the team has signed first-round draft pick P.J. Hairston.
The Hornets acquired the rights to Hairston (26th overall pick) and guard Semaj Christon (55th overall pick), along with a 2019 second-round draft pick and cash considerations, from the Miami Heat in exchange for the rights to guard Shabazz Napier (24th overall pick). Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 6-6 Hairston became the first NBA D-League player to be selected in the first round of the NBA Draft.
