The Miami Heat on Thursday released rookie guards Tyler Johnson and Larry Drew and Miami-born forward Shawn Jones.
The moves leave the Heat with 16 players on their preseason roster. With Thursday's decisions, the Heat's final cut could come down to guard Andre Dawkins or forward Khem Birch.
