Hawks' Mike Scott doesn't have fractured toe

Mike Scott received a follow-up examination to his injured left great toe in Atlanta at Peachtree Orthopaedics earlier this week. During his examination, a CT scan was performed which revealed that Scott does not have an acute fracture to his sesamoid, but rather a bipartite sesamoid and acute sprain to his great toe.

The results were read by Dr. Michael Bernot and Dr. James Beskin of Peachtree Orthopaedics and also confirmed by Dr. Richard Ferkel of the Southern California Orthopedic Institute.

The expected recovery time is approximately two-to-four weeks and his status will be updated as appropriate.
