The Detroit Pistons waived four training-camp invitees today, leaving them only with the 16 players they have on guaranteed contracts.
Brian Cook, Hasheem Thabeet, Josh Bostic and Lorenzo Brown were released.
Bostic, a 6-foot-5 wing man, and Brown, a 6-5 point guard, potentially could become affiliate players for the Pistons' NBA Development League team, the Grand Rapids Drive.
The NBA deadline is next Monday for reducing season-opening rosters to 15.
