Cavaliers interested in Jordan Farmar

The Cleveland Cavaliers have inquired about recently-waived backup point guard Jordan Farmar, according to league sources.

The dialogue was explained as a "feeling-out" process. Farmar, 28, was bought out of his contract with the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. He clears waivers on Sunday.

In his lone season with Clippers, Farmar and head coach Doc Rivers couldn't get on the same page and his numbers suffered because of it. Last season as a member of the Lakers, he averaged 10.1 points, 4.9 assists and shot 44 percent from three-point range.
