Hornets' Marvin Williams expected to miss 1 week

The Charlotte Hornets announced that forward Marvin Williams underwent a Magnetic Resonance Image (MRI) which revealed a bone bruise on his left knee consistent with his previously diagnosed hyperextended left knee.

The MRI also showed that Williams withstood no structural damage to his knee.

Williams will be out tonight against the New York Knicks and he will be re-evaluated in one week. He suffered the injury in the third quarter of the Hornets game at New York last night.
