Pistons claim Beno Udrih off waivers; cut Ray McCallum

The Detroit Pistons announced today that the team has claimed guard Beno Udrih off waivers. In a related move, the team also announced that it has waived guard Ray McCallum.

Udrih, 6-4, 203, is a 12-year NBA veteran who split last season with the Memphis Grizzlies and Miami Heat. Drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in the first round (28th overall) of the 2004 NBA Draft, Udrih has played in 792 career NBA games (272 starts) and averaged 8.5 points, 2.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 22.3 minutes with San Antonio, Sacramento, Milwaukee, Orlando, New York, Memphis and Miami.

McCallum signed with the Pistons as a free agent on July 26, 2016. In three preseason games, he averaged 5.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 22.4 minutes per game.
