The Golden State Warriors will exercise the third-year option on forward Kevon Looney, according to league sources.
Had the team elected not to pick up the second-year forward’s 2017-18 option of $1.2 million, he would have become an unrestricted free agent next summer.
There was an Oct. 31 deadline to make a decision on Looney's option.
