The New Orleans Pelicans Friday announced that the team has waived guard Shawn Dawson and center Robert Sacre.
Dawson, 6-6, 205, appeared in three preseason games for New Orleans, averaging 1.7 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists.
Sacre, 7-0, 270, appeared in one preseason game for the Pelicans, recording three points and two rebounds. The Baton Rouge, La. native spent his first four seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers after being taken 60th overall in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Gonzaga.
New Orleans’ roster now stands at 18.
