Thursday, following practice at the Philadelphia 76ers’ training complex, Elton Brand revealed his intent to retire upon the conclusion of the preseason.
“After 17 years of playing the game that I love, and it’s been great to me, I am officially retiring,” said the 37-year old power forward.
Brand, a two-time All-Star, averaged 15.9 points and 8.5 rebounds in 1,058 games with the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Clippers, Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks and Sixers.
