Mo Williams picks up player option for next season

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Mo Williams will bypass becoming an unrestricted free agent this summer to pick up his player option for the 2016-17 season, league sources informed cleveland.com.

Williams, 33, signed a modest two-year, $4.3 million deal last season and the second year contained a player option. He will earn approximately $2.2 million next season.
