J.B. Bickerstaff agrees to become Grizzlies' associate head coach

Former Houston Rockets assistant head coach J.B. Bickerstaff has agreed to be the Grizzlies' associate head coach alongside recently hired head coach David Fizdale, a source confirmed.

The Commercial Appeal confirmed Wednesday that Memphis was interested in Bickerstaff and had offered him $750,000 for the position. Bickerstaff was also courted by the Los Angeles Lakers to join Luke Walton's staff.

Bickerstaff was the Rockets' interim head coach after Kevin McHale was fired 11 games into the 2015-16 regular season.
