New Orleans Pelicans guard Bryce Dejean-Jones went to the wrong apartment unit, forced his way in and approached the bedroom yelling for his girlfriend before he was fatally shot, according to the NBA's official security report.
Dejean-Jones, 23, was killed in Dallas early Saturday (May 28) after police say he kicked in the front door of an apartment and was shot by the resident he didn't know.
The Dallas Police Department is expected to provide an update on Tuesday, but no charges have been filed.
