Pelicans sign Jordan Hamilton for the remainder of the season

The New Orleans Pelicans announced Monday that the team has signed forward Jordan Hamilton for the remainder of the 2015-16 season. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Originally signed to a 10-day contract by New Orleans on March 25, Hamilton, 6-7, 220, has appeared in five games (three starts) for the Pelicans, averaging 11.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals in 28.0 minutes per contest.

Prior to his time in New Orleans, Hamilton played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA Development League, averaging 14.9 points on .497 shooting from the floor, 9.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 29.2 minutes per game over 14 contests.
