The Rockets on Sunday waived center/forward Chuck Hayes, with forward Terrence Jones expected back from his cut eyelid this week.
Hayes had signed with the Rockets Nov. 1 to help fill in with Jones out and center Dwight Howard to miss the first game of two back-to-backs.
Hayes played in two games with the Rockets. He did not play at all on Saturday.
