Miami Heat says guard Gerald Green doing better but offers few details

The Miami Heat didn’t reveal much about guard Gerald Green on Thursday morning other than players and coaches are happy to hear he’s doing better.

“Obviously our minds are on Gerald right now and the only comment we’ll make other than what we made yesterday is that we’re grateful that he’s safe and healthy right now. Our thoughts are with him and his family,” coach Erik Spoelstra said of Green, who was hospitalized Wednesday in Miami after he was reportedly seen behaving irrationally and police were summoned to his condominium to deal with “a combative patient.”

Team captains Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Udonis Haslem speak to reporters and acknowledged they reached out to Green either through texts or phone calls.
