The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to sign 7-foot center Jerome Jordan to a non-guaranteed contract, sources confirmed Saturday morning.
Jordan's contract agreement comes a day after power forward Greg Smith failed his physical, which voided his non-guaranteed agreement deal with the Pelicans.
The Pelicans are looking for help because they are expected to be without starting center Omer Asik and top backup center Alexis Ajinca for the remainder of the preseason because of injuries.
