The Charlotte Hornets plan to sign former N.C. State player Damien Wilkins for a preseason look, an NBA source confirmed Monday.
Wilkins, 35, has played in China, Puerto Rico and the NBA’s development league of late after a 10-year NBA career with five teams. He last played in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers in 2013.
Hornets starting small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist suffered a dislocated shoulder Saturday in an exhibition victory over the Orlando Magic.
