Jrue Holiday has missed 90 games in the past two seasons, but should be ready to go once training camp opens next week. Still, the team is understandably taking the cautious approach.
''We're not going to ask Jrue to come out and play 35 to 40 minutes a game,'' Pelicans GM Dell Demps said. ''We are really strong at the guard position. We feel like we have a deep team. Having a deep team, I feel our strength is in our numbers, so we don't have to put the pressure on him to go out and play (extensive) minutes a game.''
