Torn ACL sidelines Harvard star for season

Harvard's top returning player, senior point guard Siyani Chambers, will take a voluntary leave of absence from school this year after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee while working out over the summer.

Harvard made the announcement Wednesday, saying Chambers is expected to return to the program in 2016-17 and complete his degree.

Chambers will withdraw from school because of an Ivy League rule in which graduate students are not allowed to play.
