Tyrus Thomas attempting an NBA comeback

Tyrus Thomas is attempting an NBA comeback after recovering from surgery for a C6-7 anterior cervical discectomy and fusion for an arachnoid cyst.

Thomas had the potentially career-ending surgery in March of 2014, and he was terrified that his playing days could be over at just 27 years old.

Thomas played in just two games with the Grizzlies last season before returning to the D-League, but the forward says the time in Memphis was great for his confidence since it was his first NBA action since the 2012-13 season.

He has been working hard this summer to get in even better physical shape and prepare his body for an 82-game season.
