Faced with a Saturday deadline for partial guarantees to four players from their season-ending roster, the Miami Heat on Monday began that process by waiving forward Henry Walker.
Walker, who joined the Heat at midseason and provided early 3-point proficiency, had that Saturday deadline for a $100,000 guarantee of his $1.1 million 2015-16 salary.
He now becomes available to any team to claim at that price, otherwise becoming a free agent.
