The Charlotte Hornets will sign former Duke and Memphis guard Elliot Williams for a spot on the training camp roster, an NBA source said Monday.
Williams, who is 6-foot-5, can play either the point or shooting guard position.
A first-round pick (22nd overall) by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2010 draft, Williams has played 104 games over three NBA seasons for the Blazers, Philadelphia 76ers, Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans.
