Washington has reached the second round of the playoffs in consecutive seasons for the first time since getting to the NBA Finals in 1979, a year after winning the title. They last eliminated an opponent from the playoffs without dropping a game all the way back in 1982, when it "swept" a best-of-three series 2-0.
