Pacers president Larry Bird and coach Frank Vogel made it clear at their season-ending press conference Friday that center Roy Hibbert will have a different role if he opts in for the final year on his contract.
Bird and Vogel endorsed a smaller, faster lineup that can score more points after finishing 24th in scoring this season at 97.3 points per game.
"If (Hibbert) comes back we're probably going to play another style and I can't guarantee him anything," Bird said. "He's going to have to earn it."
