The Indiana Pacers announced they have assigned rookie center Shayne Whittington to Fort Wayne of the NBA's D-League.
Whittington, who signed a free agent contract with the Pacers out of Western Michigan, has appeared in 13 games this season with averages of 2.0 points and 1.2 rebounds a game.
This is the third straight season the Pacers have sent a rookie to the Mad Ants.
