Kings' Gay, McLemore cleared to play opener

Kings forward Rudy Gay suffered a jaw injury at the 5:11 mark during the second quarter of last night’s exhibition finale versus the L.A. Lakers in Las Vegas.

A CT scan taken this afternoon revealed no fracture and he is expected to be available when Sacramento takes on Golden State in their season opener on Wednesday.

Additionally, Ben McLemore received five stitches above his right eye following the game in Las Vegas. A precautionary concussion assessment test was negative and he has been cleared for action.
