The Detroit Pistons pared their roster to 15 by requesting waivers on center Aaron Gray today, one day in advance of the league deadline for reaching that maximum number.
Gray signed a two-year contract as a free agent this summer, fully guaranteed, with a second-year player option, but he was not able to participate in training camp or preseason after suffering what the team termed a "cardiac episode" in late August.
