The Austin Toros today announced that Earl Watson has been hired as assistant coach. Watson joins current head coach Ken McDonald and assistant coach Mike Miller on the Toros bench.
Watson enjoyed a 13-year NBA career that included time with seven teams (Seattle, Memphis, Denver, Oklahoma City, Indiana, Utah and Portland).
In 890 games, he averaged 6.4 points, 4.4 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 22.2 minutes. Watson, a four-year starter at UCLA, was named to the All Pac-10 First Team as a senior in 2001.
