Ryan Anderson undergoes successful surgery, out 4-6 months

New Orleans Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson underwent a successful surgical procedure on his cervical spine this morning, the team announced.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Robert Watkins. Anderson is expected to resume basketball activities in 4-6 months.

In 22 games this season, Anderson averaged 19.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 36.1 minutes per game. The sixth-year veteran holds career averages of 12.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 357 games.
