The Detroit Pistons have formally exercised their 2014-15 contract option on Andre Drummond. The move is a formality that will be repeated again next year when the Pistons exercise their 2015-16 option on Drummond.
Drummond, an NBA All-Rookie second-team center last year, could become a restricted free agent in 2016-17.
